B.C. CLARK EXPANDS AT 101 PARK AVENUE (June 2006)

(Oklahoma City) B.C. Clark , Oklahoma ’s oldest jewelry store, has expanded its lease to 14,688 square feet at its flagship store location in the 101 Park Avenue building in downtown Oklahoma City .  B.C. Clark has been a tenant at 101 Park since 1974.  Clay Moss and Chuck Wiggin with Wiggin Properties negotiated the lease on behalf of the building owner, 101 Park, LLC.

B.C. Clark ’s expansion will allow for more showroom display area and permit the  relocation of their corporate offices to the first floor.  The showroom has been located on the west side of the building for 31 years, but will be relocated to the east side, where it will overlook Broadway, directly across from the Skirvin Hilton Hotel’s $52 million renovation.

A fixture in the downtown retail market, even during less prosperous times, B.C. Clark ’s expansion augurs well for the future of downtown retail activity.  According to Jim Clark, president of the firm and grandson of the founder, last year was the best year ever for the downtown store.  The firm’s investment in its new facility confirms its commitment to its downtown location and its expectation of even better things in the years to come.
